My name is Amber, and I have an addiction to art.

My first box of crayons and first coloring book was all it took. From that moment, I have been utterly obsessed with art and everything relating to it. I love color and shape and design, and I love to create in every fashion imaginable. The desire to pour every image in my head out onto paper is all consuming, and I’ve been known to stay up late and get up early just to complete a painting. I work hard and put long hours into my art, and I will work in any medium available to me. I paint, draw, sew, sculpt, and create jewelry and clothing. I also have interest in all forms of design, from clothing to interiors to websites. I am highly inspired and influenced by music and by other artists. My body of work is greatly varied and widely interesting, full of texture and color and contrast.

Much of my time has been spent working in fantasy, drawing and painting fairies, mermaids, and elves. The idea of fantasy has always enchanted me, and it is something that appears frequently in my artwork. I spent about three years creating a full series of Ink Fairies, which are works that are done in ink and marker. They focus on the contrast between black and white and one strong color, usually red. Prior to that, I created portrait like fairies from colored pencil, with a technique that looks more like a painting than pencil work.

Thank you for your interest in my work, sharing my art with others makes it that much more meaningful.
